Notice of Preparation (NOP) of a Supplement to
Piru Environmental Impact Report (EIR)
The County of Ventura, Public Works Agency, Roads & Transportation is currently processing a focused Update to the Piru Area Plan (“Project”). The proposed project plans to amend the Piru Area Plan Policy P-21.2 (Street Improvements within Urban and Existing Community). The proposed amendment to Policy P-21.2 (c) removes the requirement for the installation of a left-turn lane at the Fillmore-Piru Association packing house and a landscaped median island south of the intersection of Main Street and Via Fustero.
A Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) is required in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The purpose of this Notice of Preparation (NOP) is to call your attention to the Project and to request your assistance in identifying any issues that Roads & Transportation should address in the SEIR. A description of the proposed Project and instructions on how to provide comments on the scope of the SEIR are presented below.
30-Day NOP Public Comment Period is open from November 14, 2025 to December 14, 2025. The purpose of this notice is to call your attention to this Project and to request your assistance in identifying any issues that should be addressed by Roads & Transportation in the SEIR. Comments on the scope of analysis of the SEIR must be submitted in writing no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 14, 2025 to:
